Saheed Sporting win SB Memorial Cricket Tournament

Saheed Sporting Club (Bhubaneswar) emerged champions in the 1st Sumit Bose Memorial Junior (U-16) Cricket Tournament, trouncing local favourites Rising Student Club in the final by eight wickets at SCB Medical College ground here today.

The highlight of the match was a 113-run partnership for the first wicket between Jyoti Ranjan Behera and Sraban Bunga of the champion club. The former was adjudged player of the final for hitting an unbeaten 54, while the latter was named best batsman and player of the tournament.

Odisha Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera handed over the trophy at the presentation ceremony. Host Biswabharati Cricket Club president Biswajeet Mohanty and secretary Soumitra Choudhury were present on the occasion.
